Astro Machine Corporation Debuts World’s First Memjet Printer

CHICAGO — May 12, 2010 — George Selak, President of Astro Machine Corporation, has announced that they have developed a new, full-color A4 and Envelope printer based upon revolutionary MemjetTM printing technology for the Trans-promotional and Mailing & Addressing Markets. The M1 printer is capable of printing full process color at the rate of 3,600 A4 sheets per hour. When printing envelopes in portrait mode, full bleed, edge-to-edge is possible. When printing envelopes in landscape mode, the output triples to 10,800 envelopes per hour. Along with MemjetTM technology’s resident 8.77 inch print width (70,400 nozzles) on a single CMYKK printhead, the printer boasts on-demand variable data and graphics at speeds up to 12 inches per second.

There’s no need to worry about running out of ink. The M1’s resident CMYKK ink cartridges contain 250ml each, with a secondary black cartridge. Maintenance is a breeze, with its integrated service station, assuring excellent print quality. All these features, coupled with 1600x1600 dpi, guarantees the highest resolution in its class.
